I have always loved creating things that are both useful and appealing. I started from sketching designs for Lego mechanisms and making personalised birthday cards, to designing a medical device for back stiffness relief. Creating something that brings joy or value has always made me proud.

In high school, I built both technical and soft skills. I gained pitching experience through a Public Speaking Competition and explored engineering as part of my school’s robotics team, Velocity, contributing to the First Tech Challenge. I also did designs for the team’s posters, roll-ups, diplomas for Velocity-organised events, never losing touch with my artistic ability.

My passion for industrial design took shape when I worked as a UI/UX designer for Biosense, an air quality monitoring app developed through a student course with NAPA Romania.

In my first year of university, I was captivated by maximalism, and retro aesthetics. But as I explored more projects and challenged myself across different contexts, my perspective on design began to shift. I came to understand that design isn’t just about how something looks, it’s about how it works, how it feels, and what it means to the people who use it. Over time, I’ve learned that clarity, usability, and intention are the true foundations of impactful design. Today, I see design as a thoughtful, problem-solving practice, one that has the power to improve lives, enhance experiences, and leave a lasting, meaningful impression.

Present

Over the years, I have grown across multiple areas of design, gaining skills and experiences that will not only aid my future career, but also shape my identity as a designer. Below is an overview of my development across the five key areas of expertise, as well as various projects I have worked on.

Expertise areas

1

TECHNOLOGY AND REALISATION

2

CREATIVITY AND AESTHETICS

3

BUSINESS AND ENTREPENEURSHIP

4

USER AND SOCIETY

5

MATH, DATA AND COMPUTING

My long-term career goal is to secure a role in a major corporation where I can have a meaningful global impact. In the next 5 to 10 years, I see myself working on projects that improve people's lives through innovative products while staying at the cutting edge of technology. I want to explore various industries and continuously learn, rather than being limited to one product category.

In the short term, I aim to refine my focus and specialise in a specific area of design that aligns with my strengths and interests by pursuing a Master's Degree at Delft University of Technology, more specifically in Integrated Product Design. I see myself embracing my creativity and passion for hands-on work by continuing to design and build tangible, meaningful experiences.
